This design proposes to extend the Vienna museum through the construction of a separate building linked to the existing one by means of a lightweight bridge and a loop underground tunnel. The stratified structure of the new building is revealed on its envelope. The volume looks as if it was extracted from the ground below. The museum of the city of Vienna welcomes its citizens and guests to discover the cultural layers that constitute its unique and unmatched identity.
