14.02.23. Drozdov & Partners has won a competition to create municipal housing in Lviv on I. Mykolaychuk Street. The results were announced at the end of January.
The aim of the competition is to create a comfortable and safe living space for people in need of rehabilitation, evacuated due to the full-scale war. Considering the characteristic terrain and the competition goals, the team chose an urban villa as the main typology for the project. The villas, with a small number of apartments per floor, will stimulate local communities, where halls, gardens on the ground floor, and balconies act as communication spaces. Another essential component of the project is using prefabricated construction technologies that will be developed and manufactured by a Ukrainian manufacturer.
It is planned that the future housing will be owned by the municipality of Lviv.
