Although Kharkiv has as many as four rivers – Kharkiv, Lopan, Nemyshlya and Udy, which unite all the major districts of the city, their natural potential is hardly used. There are only three well-maintained places at the riverfront, but they are located far from each other in different parts of the city. In the meantime, 430 ha of industrial estates face the riverfront.
The renovation of the riverfront involves several aspects: embankments and parks, retrofitting the former industrial estates, improvement of the existing bridges.
The highlight of our proposal is the idea to connect two green areas of Kharkiv: the new embankment and Shevchenko garden.
